Record Number of Contestants Wrap-Up Activities
at the 2007 WJHFR in Gallup, New Mexico

Saddles were won, buckles were presented, and scholarships were awarded as the 3rd Annual Wrangler Junior High Finals Rodeo, concluded on July 7, 2007 at Red Rock State Park in Gallup, New Mexico. A record total of 885 contestants from forty-three U.S. states and Canadian provinces, plus Australia, competed in this year’s Finals. Performances were featured throughout the week of July 2nd, with the top twenty athletes in each event qualifying for the championship round on Saturday, July 7th. Event champions and All-Around winners include:

All-Around Cowboy:

All-Around Cowgirl:

All-Around Rookie Cowboy:

Boys Goat Tying:

Pole Bending:

Ribbon Roping:

The state of Colorado captured top team honors for this year, with Oklahoma, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Texas rounding out the top five.
